This piece was done for the Gnomon Online Competition that is held every month. The january theme was: "The Collector". My beautiful and brilliant wife came up with an idea of a fantasy entomologist (i hope i spelled that correctly) . Many thanks to Gavin Rich, Anthony Jones, Gino Whitehall, Mike Marscicano, and Edgar Cardona for their critiques and advice!I had a great time painting this one! I also included my intial sketch in black and white.
such a gnarly idea man. I think your initial sketch has a lot of depth and good compositional lines happening. In the end the piece came out killer, great job sir :]
